The past week (or two or three) here in the Husker State have been very very cold (the high on Friday was NEGATIVE four- that is not a high) and very snowy. I heard we have received 36 inches of snow. I don't want to confirm for fear of what that will do to my psyche.
I saw the funniest thing that I had to share:
I was outside shoveling and heard the familiar sound of tires spinning on ice/snow. I turned around a guy had banked his chevy cavalier up the snowbank by the busy intersection near where I live.
He was standing near the front of his car on the snowbank trying to LIFT his car off the snowbank. Several questions arise at this time:
1.) Can you actually do this unless your child is under the car and your adrenaline is rushing?
2.) Should you be driving a car that you can pick up in the winter conditions?
3.) Seriously- lifting it off the snowbank?
Some other guy in a Blazer quickly hooked up a handy dandy tow rope and pulled him off the snowbank and he sheepishly drove by.
Drive. Of. Shame.
