Bat.Snake.Raccoon.Mouse.

I am pretty sure nature is out to get me.

You all remember the bat story?

And how earlier this summer I was mowing and had a run-in with a snake?

Well, a few weeks ago, Mike and I had a standoff with a raccoon. It was sitting under his car when I left for work and it would not move despite me yelling, "Hey! Get out of there!" on my way to the driveway. So, I got in the passenger side of my car and went to work.

I get a call later on from my husband that it is still there and will not leave despite the dirt clod throwing he was doing, so he, too, had to get in on the passenger side of his car and drive off, leaving it stunned alone in the driveway. (In other news, the neighbors are starting to worry...)

And now we have: MICE!!!
I was sitting in the living room yesterday watching 2Fast,2Furious (don't judge) and a mouse scurries across the kitchen floor, pauses (as if to glance at me and mock me) and then goes the other way. I screamed and burst into tears. Mike had to calm me down before dealing with the mouse.

He started to chase it with a spade (I'm not sure what he was going to do with that) and it went downstairs. We currently have 7 traps set and have so far caught one mouse that my dad took care of (thanks dad- you are awesome)!

I'm seeing a trend here...

So, we closed on our house today (praise the Lord!) and Mike then went to Urgent Care for a sinus infection.

Will this be the trend of our lives?
