Quick 5- Week 2

Aren't you surprised that I was able to do this for two weeks in a row? Wowza! Here goes nothin':

1. St. Louis- this picture was taken 2 years ago in St. Louis when I went there for my birthday! I get to go again this week and am so excited about it! Spending time with my sister is always so much fun!

2. Birthday- speaking of birthdays- I turn 30 this week! And actually I have felt surprisingly fine about this! I am just feeling very calm about the whole thing! I think my love for my birthday has overshadowed any bad feelings that may have crept up about getting older.

3. Auction- we didn't win the wood at the auction. I was kind of sad about this, but it sounds like the people who did win the bid for the wood were having some difficulty getting it out today, so maybe it was a blessing?

4. Friends- I have spent some more time with friends this week and it has been really refreshing.

5. Rest- I took 2 naps this weekend each over 2 hours! What a wonderful way to start birthweek!!!!!!

Quick 5

So... I have been terrible about posting lately! I can't believe how behind I am getting. I am going to start doing a 'quick 5' to attempt to increase my posting. Thanks Becky for the idea!

1.) I think I am finally ready to start on some home projects. For some reason when the weather starts getting nicer, I can't stop scheming about my next project and what it will be.

2.) Related to number 1: Ironwood Golf Course is being auctioned off this month. I am really really hoping to score some woodwork from their clubhouse for my own house. Think it will happen???

3.) We had some good friends come see us tonight and it was just wonderful! I love old friends and how they help remind me of who I am and where I have been. I find that I live so much in the day to day of things that I forget what has happened to help make me who I am. Thanks guys for always being so AWESOME!

4.) Valentine's Day was amazing! My only request was a handwritten card. My husband went online and made me a comic of our first date. The last frame said, "well that didn't turn out too bad."

5.) Blast from the past:

This picture was taken in the Dominican Republic in a car where we squeezed waaaaaay too many people. I was just reminiscing with a friend the other day about these cars. They told us to do this: "When you see a car with the letter 'F' on the side and it is a 1970 broken down corolla, get in the car and tell them where you are going." Uhhhh-right! So there are 4 of us squished in this car over crazy bumpy roads for quite some time- notice I am not even sitting on a seat of the car. These were beautiful moments!
