And let me tell you, I am going to be a hurting unit tomorrow morning! Yikes! She kept telling us to shake our booty, but I found that what I was doing could more closely be called 'jiggling.' I once was so frustrated I reached behind me to manually shake my booty just to do it correctly just once! Don't even get me started on the shimmy!
I also found that I didn't know what to do with my arms. You know when your arm is asleep and you can turn around really fast and your arm flings around you and hits you? That's exactly what my arms were doing throughout the entire class. It was as if they dissociated from my trunk to fling around without cause or control.
But the biggest problem I had was my hips... I really thought my hip had actually dislocated during the class, which is an uncommon problem for persons under the age of 80 and without a previous history of a total hip replacement.
I apparently can dislocate and dislodge my arms but my legs seem to be perfectly attached to my pelvis without even a hint of movement!
And to those girls behind me who were taking pictures of each other: If my jiggly booty ends up on youtube, you will be sorry!
In the same vein as awkward things, please note these two men on a bicycle built for two:
