YAY!

The tree came down! I documented every bit of it too! Friday night the two men who 'fell the tree' came over to start work on the 'scary limbs.' And boy was it scary! The entire top part of the tree was shaking as he began to chainsaw it. Wow! So, I stood where you see the pictures are taken from and prayed each time he began to move or chainsaw more pieces.
At one point, he cut a very large branch down from the tree and the other guy was holding onto a rope to help guide it to the ground (and away from the house). The limb was so soaking wet and rotted that it was heavier than anticipated. The guy holding the rope flew 6 feet in the air and landed on the ground just in time for the limb to come crashing down behind him! Yikes! Thank God everybody was okay!
Not a job I would want to do!
This is the part that was done Friday night! They asked Mike to come out and help and pull the top part of the tree as he cut it down. He started cutting and when he was yelling, they started pulling- it landed a mere foot from the house!
Here is just some of the debris that was at the street ready for people to chop up and burn in their fireplaces!
Finally- the stump! My dad suggested we carve a seat into it to sit and watch the kids play in the park. I think this is a great idea!
He is so happy!
